Top 5 Haunted Places in India 

 1) Terra Vera Bangalore 

Bangalore,  the Silicon City of India is famous and beautiful city with enjoyable climate throughout the year. But, bangalore also have some share of secrets. 


One of the most haunted place of bangalore is "Teera Vera". This house was built by EJ Vaj in 1943. EJ Vaj had two daughters. One was Dolce and another one was Vera. Dolce was stabbed to death by unknown person.  After the death of the Dolce, Vera left that house. She left behind all the precious belongings including a vintage car. 

Since then people have heard that same scream from that house. Some of the people tried to expose the mystery behind those screams, but all of them were unsuccessful. 

2)  Barog Tunnel Shimla 

Tunnel No. 33 is named after Colonel Barog who is believed to haunt the place. 

sIn 1898, Colonel Barog who was a railway engineer was given the task of constructing a tunnel in this region and get the job done in a stipulated time. He did several calculations and ordered laborers to start boring holes in the mountain from both the ends so that they could meet in the middle and finish the  job in time. He had miscalculated and after boring holes and digging till the centre of the mountains, the laborers from different ends did not meet in the middle. 

Due to his failure, he was fired from his job. He was really depressed and humiliated. It is said that one night Colonel Barog shot himself. Barog was buried outside the incomplete tunnel to pay homage to his work. But locals believe he never left the place. His spirit still haunts the tunnel. 

3) GP Block Meerut 

Meerut is one of the most well-known cities in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This city had been a witness to many ups and downs. It is belief that Meerut have some haunted places such as the GP Block. This place is abandoned  for many decades. 


This is believed that GP Block is haunted by evil spirits. Sightings of a woman sitting on the roof of the building had been reported in the past; so has been the sight of woman wearing red garments showing up in their ghostly form in and around the building. 

On the other hand, some have seen four men drinking inside the property. All these incidents led to the belief that this place is haunted. 

4) Tower of silence (Mumbai) 

Tower of Silence also known as A Dakhma. This building is circular in the structure built by the parsis for excarnation. It is nothing but for the dead bodies to be exposed to the birds. 


This is a circular building with three concentric circular surfaces the outer circle is for dead bodies of men, the middle one is for woman and the innermost for dead bodies of young children. 

5) Three Kings Church Goa 

The story goes that the church was governed by 3 kings, who fought and killed each other in a quest to become more powerful and be the ultimate ruler. Afterwards, they were buried at the church site itself and story goes that their spirits still roam the place, quietly governing and protecting the kingdom. 

Visitors have seen many paranormal experiences. Late in the evenings, people who have walked around have claimed to have experienced a strong presence of sorts.
